Body is a temple

The body and mind are very connected. If we have a polluted, sluggish and sick body, it will create frustration, doubts, fears, inadaptability, etc. Diseased and impure mind will also affect our body negatively, in the form of illness. The cells will begin to die, the hair will go gray, and wrinkles will appear. In order to achieve happiness, health, wealth, spiritual development, or whatever else we desire, we must work on all aspects of ourselves. The body plays an important role in this process. If our system of glands, muscles and cells is in perfect harmony, then our daily activities will be filled with positive and productive emotions.
The body is a temple, and it is of a great importance to relate to it as such, and respect its laws. In this way, we will be able to develop our mental potential and achieve happiness and fulfillment in everyday life.
What are asanas?

Asanas are part of the ancient system of Siddhas. They represent a progressive evolution from the simplest forms of life to the realized human being. Asana is the position of the body, and also a state of being that you can stay in for a long period of time, stable, peaceful and comfortable, both physically and mentally. There are a lot of asanas, but traditionally 84 asanas or positions are regarded as major asanas. They give the flexibility and smoothness to the nerves. These physical and spiritual exercises are used to purify the body and calm the mind.
Many exercises mimic movement of different animals. Siddha yogis used to observe animals and noticed how a cat is completely relaxed and calm. By practicing asanas, our body relaxes and the mind becomes calm, and there is almost no waste of life energy or prana. These exercises are a different from other conventional techniques, and they are to be performed slowly, relaxed and with concentration, thus increasing the energy and youthfulness of the body. These exercises will gain you not only the physical wellbeing, but will also help you develop the stability of the mind. They can be practiced by the healthy and the sick, the young and the old.
What are the benefits of practicing asanas?

These exercises can cure certain illnesses and develop the ability of maintaining health at a high level. They have physical and psychosomatic effects, which can remove a variety of diseases and reduce the level of toxins in the body. They are very useful for meditation and concentration.
These exercises harmonize the endocrine system that gives physical health and mental peace. Internal organs are rejuvenated; they get well and normalize their functioning. Asanas stimulate digestion, balance sympathetic and parasympathetic system. They harmonize the activities of the brain, glands, nerves and tissues, nadis and chakras. They help prevent the fever, constipation, hemorrhoids and various psychophysical diseases.
These exercises have a curative effect and comforting force. They give flexibility as well as the ability to the body and spirit to easily adapt to the environment. They remarkably affect all six systems of the body. They help develop concentration and determination, and release dormant mental potential of the body and mind.
