What is Divine breathing?

Pranayama - the ancient science of breath
Prana is the life force that permeates the entire universe. It can be found in all living creatures and inanimate things, rocks, insects, animals and man. "Yama" means to control. Therefore, pranayama is a technique that stimulates and increases the vital energy and leads to the perfect control of prana through the body, keeping the body healthy.
Pranayama is the ancient science of breathing, discovered by yoga masters and given to people in order to resolve the physical and mental illnesses, and open the full mental potential. Using these techniques, the optimal functioning of the endocrine, nervous and digestive systems as well as mental and physical stability is achieved. By practicing breath control, you can learn to control finer energies in the body and thus achieve the complete control of the mind.
Our breathing patterns reflect our emotional and mental state. We breathe brokenly when we are angry, or slow and steady when we concentrate on something. Breathing is an important bridge between mind and body, and by our breath, we can affect both.

The importance of proper breathing
Breathing is the most important process of our body. We can remain for days without food and water, but just a few minutes without breathing. Due to rapid and stressful way of life, most people breathe incorrectly, using only 30-40% of their lung capacity. This is one of the reasons why our bodies get tired and ill. Our brain needs three times more oxygen than other organs. If it gets deprived of oxygen, it will compensate this lack by taking it from other organs. This is why many people get exhausted physically as well as mentally. Up to 60% of violence occurs because people do not know how to breathe correctly. Breathing properly is important because the improper breathing patterns and inhaling the polluted air, cause degeneration of the body and shorten its life. Proper breathing provides many benefits for our body and mind. If we learn how to breathe properly, our body will have plenty of oxygen for the efficient functioning of all cells in the body and the releasing of harmful gases, especially carbon dioxide. Proper breathing provides a positive, peaceful and stable mind and a joyful and long life.

Effects of Divine breathing on the daily life and activities
With Divine breathing, you will enhance the quality of your life. By practicing The Divine Health Program, our awareness opens its hidden potential, and enables every person to live the creative life in fulfillment and health. Shri Shivakumar Swamiji and Swami Urgaya, for the first time revealed these Divine energy techniques, based on the ancient principles. Breathing and meditation enable people to achieve the state of deep rest and resolve deeply rooted stress. Divine breathing is a scientific way to remove accumulated tension in the body and mind.

Who can practice Divine breathing?
Divine breathing can be practiced by everyone. If you have any health problems or mental illness, it is necessary to contact a qualified Divine Energy Park teacher.

Nadi - the subtle channel

Nadi literally means "flow" or "stream". The ancient texts say that there are 72 million nadis in the subtle human body. Nadis are the subtle channels through which the vital energies of prana flow. There are many nadis, but 14 of them are major, and 3 are the most important. They are ida, pingala and sushumna. All nadis (even ida and pingala) are under the control of sushumna nadi.
- Sushumna nadi extends within the spinal cord, from muladhara to ajna chakra. It is silvery in color.
- Ida starts at the left side of muladhara and curves its way up through each chakra to finally end on the left side of ajna. It is blue in color.
- Pingala starts at the right side of muladhara and curves in the opposite way from ida nadi, ending on the right side of ajna. Its color is red.
Ida and pingala nadis are two polar opposite life forces that flow in our body. Ida is negative, also called the lunar channel, and pingala is positive and known as the solar channel. By watching the very subtle changes in the flow of air through the nostrils, we are able to know what will happen in the future. The flow of air through each nostril sets the mood of every person. When the air moves through the left nostril, the person is more likely to engage in mental activities. When the air flows mostly through the right nostril, a person is more interested in physical activities. The flow of air through the nostrils is changing every hour. The flow of air going through the left nostril is closely connected with the flow of prana in ida nadi. When the flow through both nostrils is balanced, the flow of prana in ida and pingala nadi is also balanced. When this happens, the prana begins to flow through sushumna and the kundalini energy rises. This effect is obtained by regular exercises - pranayamas. Also, the regular practice of Divine breathing, cleanses these subtle channels and gives the body and mind purity and health.

For every disease there is a cure

Breathing techniques can revitalize and rejuvenate your body and spirit. Happiness, satisfaction, enthusiasm, and energy are the keys for releaseing from the stress and negativities. When you learn how to breathe correctly and practice breathing techniques, you create a positive mind and a healthy body without the disease. By doing pranayama, we can control body weight. It has also been found that breathing can lead to curing of severe, and even "incurable" diseases such as lung tumor, heart problems, AIDS, etc. There is a cure for everything, and breathing is the key for achieving perfect health and a long and happy life.

Breathing and longevity

If people could live a life without stress or tension and breathe properly, they would be able to extend their lifetime to up to 360 years. Ancient yogis used to measure one's life by counting breaths, not years. Breathing is directly related to the heart. Slow breathing accompanies the slower heart rhythm and provides a long life. The heart of the mouse, for example, beats up to 1000 times per minute, and it has a very short lifetime, while the elephant's heart beats 25 times per minute.
Yet another important role in ageing of the body, play the organs located in the abdomen and sexual area. When we strengthen and heal these organs, we can control our entire body. Our vital energy is collected in this area, therefore if you do not bring enough energy (oxygen) to these organs, they begin to weaken and we get ill. There is very strong pranayama that strengthens the solar plexus and sexual organs, and regenerates them. This pranayama is called kapalabhati. You will be able to learn it at our basic course, where you will also learn other pranayamas such as deep breathing and anuloma viloma.

Where and how to learn Divine breathing?

At the basic course, you will be introduced to the secret knowledge of Divine breathing and learn pranayamas: kapalabhati, anuloma viloma and deep breathing. After completing the course, you can practice this program independently at home.
The course also includes the initiation into meditation, invoking cosmic energy, psychophysical exercises and exercises for body rejuvenation, creative visualization (relaxation exercises and treatment for stress and drug addiction).
(There are also advanced breathing courses that you can sign up for at Divine Energy Park, after you complete our basic course. More.)
